Seit über 40 Jahren verleiht die MFA+ FilmDistribution internationale Filme an Kinos, der Schwerpunkt lag und liegt dabei vorallem auf Kinder- und Arthouse-Filmen. Im Programm finden sich zahlreiche renommierte RegisseurInnen – darunter oft die Erstlingsfilme – wie Chantal Akerman, Russ Meyer, Spike Lee, Danny Boyle, Nick Park, Doris Dörrie, Bong Joon-Ho, Noah Baumbach, Paul Verhoeven, Kelly Reichardt, Jonah Hill, David Cronenberg, Joachim Trier, Luca Guadagnino, Rebecca Miller, Francois Ozon, Park Chan-Wook oder Lars von Trier. Im Repertoire der MFA+ finden sich außerdem Kinderfilmklassiker wie die Originalwerke von Erich Kästner, Astrid Lindgren und Janosch. Die Firma wurde für ihr Programm 1996, 2005 und 2020 mit dem Verleiherpreis des BKM sowie 2001 als „Best European Animation Distributor“ ausgezeichnet.
